I've always been interested in the way rivers shape the landscape, the power of water grinding away earth and rock to shape our world. This painting is inspired by the meandering curves of the River Derwent as it flows into Derby, which only really become apparent when viewed from above.
The painting is on oil-paint paper and is supplied ready to hang in a simple white frame.
